Smiles For Sophie
I just wanted to let everyone know that Ed McNamara (Maria’s dad) and his friend, Kevin, have created a new website for Sophie that is a little easier to access and has all the current information including updates, visitor posts, donation information (with a paypal option that can accept credit card donations), pictures, etc. The website is smilesforsophie.com. Once you access the site, you can either subscribe (right hand column of the page) to receive updates when we post any new information or simply visit the site whenever you wish. One difference with this site is that if you wish to post any messages to Sophie, Emily, and Marc, you will need to click on “comments” after one of the updates. There you can type in your message, however, it will not show up immediately because it has to be reviewed by the website manager. The reason being that, unfortunately, the McNamaras found out that since the website is accessible to all, they were getting some inappropriate messages from people. As the website manager I will be staying on top of the webpage posts and will check it daily so as to quickly get your continued kind words on the page for all to see. So just bear with me. This web page was just finished by Kevin and Ed today, and we are continuing to work through any kinks, and, more than that, my learning curve with this whole process.
In addition, all of you know of Maria and her family and the battle they have fought with the same diagnosis as Sophie’s. We have had the opportunity to meet with Ed and Megan (Maria’s dad and mom), as well as the whole family including Maria and her three younger brothers. They truly are an amazing family and have been nothing but a constant source of support and information since they found out about Sophie. If you didn’t know, Maria also has a website, so please visit prayersformaria.com. There you can follow her story and add her to your prayer lists as well. God has two very special little girls to look after, and every additional prayer is yet one more that will hopefully lead to a miracle for both of our families.
Again, thanks for all you do to support Emily, Marc, Sophie, and Sarah through these trying times. We cannot thank everyone enough; please know that we truly appreciate every kind word, every gift, every prayer, every gesture, and every thought. We believe that together we will make a difference.
Sarah

Great site - we'll be using this one from now on. Thanks Ed and Kevin.
Love to Sophie.
Love,
Grandma
Our family will add Sophie's name (right next to Maria's)in our nightly prayer routine. We've been praying for Maria for almost a year now, and will pray for Sophie for as long as it takes!

What a wonderful site! So much thanks to Kevin and the McNamara's.
Marc, Emily and Sophie,
I love you all so much and wish that I could somehow provide more support for you. I am thinking of you constantly. I pray for Sophie and Maria's miracle everyday and I just have this feeling that we are going to get it. Hopeful doesn't describe this feeling...it is more like confidence and certainty. Miracles do happen...in fact it seeems like everyday since Sophie's diagnosis, I am hearing of a miracle.
I love you.
Leslie
Marc, Emily, Sophie and Sarah, you are on my mind every minute of the day. I love you all so very much.
What a wonderful site. Thank you Ed, Kevin and Sarah for everything you are doing.
Marc, Emily and Sophie,
You are in my prayers everyday.... Like Leslie, I wish there was more that I could do for you... for now, know that your family loves you very much, and we are constantly thinking about you... And remember… Miracles Happen!!
Hugs to you all !
Laurie
My dearest Emily,
Every day I pray that God will show us all that He has a miracle in store for Sophie. I ask him, too, to give you and Marc, Susie and Frank the strength and peace to endure this trial so far away from home. You are all in my thoughts and prayers every day. God bless and keep you.
Uncle Joe
